Here’s how it works

Getting Started With The Collaborative Editing Process

  • After you’ve completed the inquiry form, I’ll reach out to schedule a pre-edit discussion focused on the current stage of your manuscript, your goals for the editing process, and to answer any questions you have. If we’re a good match, I’ll send you everything you need to secure a place on my calendar.

  • Based on our conversation, I will prepare a proposal of services* for your consideration. The proposal will include a timeline from receipt of the manuscript to return of the deliverables, along with a breakdown of estimated cost.

    A nonrefundable deposit of 50% will be requested upon acceptance of the proposal.

    *Sample Edits for Beta Reading and Proof Reading Services: Upon request, I will review the first 5-10 pages of your manuscript and provide a short report for your review.

  • After receipt of the accepted proposal and nonrefundable deposit, I will begin work on the requested services. Deliverables will be returned in accordance with the timeline discussed.

  • One to two weeks after return of the deliverables, I will schedule a follow up call to answer questions and brainstorm with you on any lingering concerns.
